Two Types of Certification
Certifications are valid for 3 years, at which time you can renew.

Certified Dialogue Education Practitioner
This certification recognizes that you have demonstrated skills in the principles and practices of a learning-centered approach (what GLP calls “Dialogue Education”) and applied them in your work setting. It honors hard work and a commitment to high quality learning design and facilitation.

Certified Dialogue Education Teacher
This certification recognizes that you have achieved a high level of learning and application of the principles and practices of a learning-centered approach (what GLP calls “Dialogue Education”). You have the privilege of being one of the few trained professionals who can teach GLP’s trainings and workshops via a licensing fee.
Becoming a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher (CDET) is a rigorous process, including mentoring in the training you are hoping to license.

- Consideration for teaching public GLP trainings and workshops
This is a new process and we are working on long-term solutions to track everyone’s progress toward certification. In the meantime, please express your interest in certification and we’ll help you keep track!
LEARN THE FOUNDATIONS
Complete foundational training on the principles + practices of Dialogue Education.
ACCRUE 10 ADDITIONAL LEARNING HOURS
Continue to develop your skills in applying the principles and practices of Dialogue Education.
APPLY + PAY THE FEE
Complete the application, including a sample design, resume and reference, and submit with your application fee.
Client Testimonial
Please note: You must be referred by someone on the GLP Team in order to apply to be a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher. CDETs must complete Step 2 for each training they want to be certified to teach. Certifications are available for: Foundations of Dialogue Education & Intentional Design, Learning Evaluation by Design, Art of Facilitation, and Meetings Re-imagined.
TAKE 3 TRAININGS
Complete Foundations or Intentional Design and two other trainings (must include the one you will be certified to teach).
CO-TEACH 2 TRAININGS
Mentor with a GLP Partner or Senior Partner to co-facilitate two of the same trainings.
PUBLISH
Publish a blog, article, or project spotlight on GLP’s website or elsewhere.
