Valerie Uccellani is a specialist in designing events and programs to best engage individuals and organizations in productive and practical learning. Val has managed a wide range of projects in the United States and in 17 other countries.
Country experiences, by region, include: Ethiopia, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Egypt, Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras; Bangladesh; Portugal, Spain, Italy; urban and rural United States.
Val is a creative designer. She doesn’t pull materials off a shelf and make them fit the situation at hand. Rather, Val examines the needs and strengths of a group, draws on what’s worked well in the past, and creates something new to best suit each unique group and situation.
Val has been designing and facilitating learning events for more than thirty years. By working with such a diversity of groups, in a wide variety of situations, Val has become quite skilled at planning and facilitating events with ease and comfort. Recent clients include the following:
Valerie and her husband, Chris, are devoted to their six-year old daughter and two big dogs who are a big part of the family. She keeps her energy and creative juices flowing by walking in the park, doing yoga, dancing, and swimming. She is a lifetime beginner piano player.
