Rebecca Miller is a health advocate, public health professional, and storyteller, who artfully employs stories, metaphors, and parables to explain complex topics around health and disease prevention in accessible ways. As a Cleveland, Ohio native at the intersection of several defining identities, Rebecca garnered much of her passion for health communication and education in early life through critical examinations of societal systems, access, and health behavior. These interests, among others, shape the way Rebecca designs and facilitates as a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher, Partner, and member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Advisory Team at GLP.
Rebecca brings experience from hazard communication education, English as a Second Language, universal design for learning, curriculum development, research project management, and patient advocacy. Rebecca Miller serves as the project director for the Cleveland African American Prostate Cancer Project (CAAPP) at the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, which partners with local barbershops to provide prostate cancer education, awareness, and screening through lay health advisor training, community navigation, and community-based screening.
Rebecca loves playing board games, gardening, hiking, bird watching, pilates, and spending quality time with her husband and Jesus Christ.
