Kathy has worked with health service organizations in the aging space for more than 25 years. In her role as Senior Director, Education & Knowledge Translation for the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, Kathy has led the Education team in the design and implementation of in-person, live virtual and e-learning education programs for a variety of learners.
When she was first introduced to the learning-centred approach called Dialogue Education over 2 decades ago, she immediately saw the impact it could have on learning outcomes and began her journey to incorporate the approach into her practice. Kathy became a Certified Dialogue Education Teacher (CDET) with Global Learning Partners 15 years ago and has taught hundreds of learners how to make their trainings and meetings more impactful. She brings to her work with GLP, skills in:
- learning design and facilitation
- event/conference/meeting design and facilitation
- knowledge translation process design
- e-learning development
- leadership and team building
Kathy enjoys being outside in nature in the woods or near water even during Canadian winters, but especially in the warmer months. She spends much of her time on the side of a soccer pitch as she’s still in her soccer Mom phase with the youngest of her 3 boys.
