Kellie McDaniel is Director of Instructional Design and Learning Experience at Episcopal Relief & Development. In this strategic role, she leads the organization’s learning strategy, aligning programs with institutional goals to drive meaningful and lasting impact. She combines creativity and strategy to design engaging, practical learning experiences grounded in real-world application.

With more than fifteen years of global experience, Kellie has partnered with institutions across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. She collaborates closely with colleagues and implementing partners to co-create learning solutions that build the knowledge, skills, and mindsets needed to advance sustainable, strengths-based development.

Kellie’s work is rooted in the belief that meaningful learning can spark action—transforming individuals, organizations, and communities. She is deeply committed to fostering dignity, trust, and hope through inclusive, participatory learning environments that encourage reflection, dialogue, and growth.

Since joining Episcopal Relief & Development in 2009, Kellie has contributed expertise in program design, capacity building, and learning facilitation across integrated programs focused on social and economic development, including microfinance, livelihoods, early childhood development and prevention of violence against women and girls. She is driven by collaborative approaches that strengthen partnerships and unlock opportunities for communities to thrive.

Kellie holds a Certificate in Learning Design from New York University’s School of Professional Studies, a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a focus on Human Rights and Governance from The New School for Social Research, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Media from New York University.

She lives in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, in joy, chaos and love with her husband, Kevin and two children, Paloma and Harry.
