Reverend Sunitha Mortha has been preaching, teaching, leading trainings, workshops, within the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA) for over 15 years as Director for ELCA Global Mission Education and Interpretation. During her tenure, she conceived and launched ‘Glocal events,’ and built Global musicians community, a 170 multi-racial and ethnic community that strived to embody accompaniment in mission.
Presently, Rev. Sunitha serves as the Associate to Bishop Curry and directs the Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging work of the Synod. She believes that how we engage “the other” is a defining question of our time. Most of her life has been working to respond to this question.
Family is central in Pr. Sunitha’s life. Cooking, dancing, singing and learning are also some of her loves.
