Paulina has dedicated much of her learning and facilitation efforts to realizing the right to adequate housing in Canada and Mexico. As an Advisor for Capacity Development at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, she has successfully designed and delivered diverse learning programs for affordable housing providers aiming to undertake sustainability projects.

With extensive experience in designing, planning, and facilitating meetings and workshops, Paulina enjoys uniting diverse stakeholders to achieve common goals. She is passionate about tailoring learning events to address the specific challenges faced by communities. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese, Paulina has a knack for delivering bilingual events and building bridges across language barriers.

Paulina holds a BA in Urban Planning from the University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and an MA in Human Geography from Carleton University, where she focused on women’s everyday lives in social housing in Mexico. Her research received the International PEACE Scholarship, Ina Hutchinson Award 2013 in Geography and the Philip E. Uren Memorial Fellowship.

Outside of work, Paulina enjoys growing food at a local co-op farm, reading, and volunteering as a board member for the Interval House of Ottawa.
