Meaghan has worked with the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick (ASNB) for about two years as a U-First Master Trainer. In this role she has worked on the development of the U-First program and facilitated one of the first U-First workshops the ASNB facilitated in New Brunswick. Her previous experience in health promotion and adult education has helped to recruit many long term care facilities to enthusiastically take part in continuing education for staff providing direct care to those living with dementia.
In her role as Facilitator, Meaghan was a part of teamwork which resulted in training a little over 500 Healthcare professionals in U-First. Beyond the U-First workshops, Meaghan has worked with Community Facilitators of the U-First workshop to ensure they feel ready to take on the role and provide them with support needed.
Beyond her passion for person-centered care and dementia care education, Meaghan enjoys dancing, reading, and spending time with her younger sister.
Meaghan has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Human Rights.
