Lindsay Telfer is a Manager of Capacity Development for the Green Municipal Fund, at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM). Before joining the FCM team, Lindsay worked for over two decades as the Director of many environmental non-profit initiatives, including the Canadian Freshwater Alliance where she built a training program on public engagement and mobilization for Canada’s freshwater non-profit community. She has also worked as coach and mentor for Georgian College’s Social Enterprise Network of Central Ontario where she supported dozens of small social enterprise start-ups in creating meaningful work in solving some of the region’s most pressing social and environmental problems. Lindsay is a passionate advocate for just, healthy and sustainable communities, she sits on her city’s environmental advisory committee and spends much of her free time on in or near water (whether frozen or rippling), often alongside her two young children and husband.
