Kiana Simmons is a farmer, artist, event coordinator and capacity developer from Ottawa, Ontario. With a background in municipal affairs and climate change mitigation, their work focuses on community building for a resilient future. Kiana has a Bachelor in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, and a Certificate in Landscape Design from the University of Guelph. Kiana is currently a part of the 8 80 Cities 2025 Ontario Community Changemakers cohort and is working to scale local food & farmland access solutions to address food insecurity in their community.
