Katarina is a creative and passionate learning designer and facilitator who cares deeply about the participants in her learning experiences. Everything she does is intentional and driven by principles rooted in adult learning best practices, including creating opportunities for connection, drawing relevancy, and participant dialogue.

Katarina is in her final semester at Ontario Tech University, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Educational Studies with a specialization in Adult Learning and Technology. Previously, she studied Educational Support at Seneca Polytechnic and worked for the York Region District School Board as an Intervention Support Worker. In her three years with the board, Katarina quickly discovered the barriers and inequities in the public education system that prevent students and teachers from accessing the resources and support they need. While she will always be passionate about advocating for better education for students with disabilities, through her studies at Ontario Tech, she has discovered a newfound passion for developing and facilitating meaningful adult learning experiences. After working in the school board creating meaningful and fun learning for children, Katarina wants to create similar positive learning experiences for adults in the workplace, ensuring that professional development is personally fulfilling, relevant, and enjoyable for employees and their leaders.

Katarina feels inspired by the frameworks and principles that guide Global Learning Partners (GLP). She began her journey with GLP through a collaborative project she is working on with them as part of one of her university courses and is very excited about this opportunity to work with GLP and implement their principles and the principles she has learned in her studies. Katarina attended GLP’s Learning-Centred Design course as part of her journey exploring the field and she deeply connected with the course content and felt its mission resonated with her own belief in designing and facilitating learning that reflects its learners and centres on learning. She is excited to work in the industry upon graduating in December 2025 and see where her journey in adult learning takes her.
