Erin has a breadth and depth of experience over a 30-year career as an adult educator. At the core of her work is a focus on education that transforms individuals, communities, and systems. She designs learning that builds on the knowledge and experience of adult learners, creates a-ha moments and connections, energizes and equips for action.
Erin has facilitated hundreds of workshops and planning sessions; created curriculum from conversations, interviews, slide decks, and original research; designed a national education program from the ground up; managed existing education programs; conducted research on topics ranging from voluntary simplicity to chronic disease management; taught online post-secondary courses; written articles, reports, and successful grant applications; edited three published books; and collaborated with numerous organizations and partners.
With a BSc in ecology and an MA in Adult Education, Erin is able to bridge the worlds of science and learning and has a particular interest in climate education. Erin is equally comfortable in community-based and academic contexts. She is a consultant and freelancer open to new clients and projects.
