Dan started with Dialogue Education™ when he and his wife Debbie moved from the United States to Lusaka, Zambia in late 2019. In Africa Dan has learned to love the learning centered approach.

Previously Dan was a Lutheran pastor in Downers Grove, Illinois; Lakewood Ranch, Florida; and Nicollet, Minnesota. Now he heads education for the One Africa Team of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Officially his title is director of the Confessional Lutheran Institute.

Dan helps with theology and ministry learning in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia. He works with Master’s degree students through workshop participants. His degrees are Master of Divinity and Master of Sacred Theology (Old Testament concentration).

In his spare time he reads biblical Hebrew, learns Swahili, and runs marathons with the Lusaka Fitness Squad.
