Carrie has 15 years of experience working and volunteering for domestic and international nonprofit organizations in a variety of capacities: impact assessment, grant reporting and administration, writing/editing, strategic planning, fundraising, inclusiveness and diversity initiative implementation, and volunteer coordination. An avid traveler, she has lived and worked in 8 countries, and visited over 20 others. Carrie received her Masters in Governance and International Development from the Institute of Development Studies in the UK, after which she joined a team that managed UKAID’s Governance and Transparency Fund and, most recently, worked as a Fundraising Officer for the International Budget Partnership for several years.
Carrie is currently a freelance consultant in the nonprofit sector focused on workshop design/facilitation and writing/editing. She also loves exploring parks and hiking trails with her giant fur baby Bernese Mountain dog, yoga, reading nonfiction, and making art. Carrie is passionate about creativity, collaboration, cultural exchange, and learning (both personal and organizational) and is grateful to be able to engage in all of these as a practitioner in the GLP Network!
