Bessie (she/her) is a restorative justice practitioner and a convener of people working to uproot the causes of interpersonal violence. In her role at the Vermont Network, she works in tandem with the training team to create meaningful learning and leadership experiences. Bessie has a Master of Arts in Restorative Justice from Vermont Law School and a professional certificate in Sexuality Education from the University of Michigan. However, she vehemently believes her formal education is less important than her experience directly supporting people at the center of harm and her experience helping advocates and practitioners skill-up in their work. Bessie is grateful for every opportunity to help learners find their growth edges while keeping them safely in their learning brains.
