Shay Bassett is a dynamic facilitator, coach, and learning experience designer with a deep commitment to helping individuals move from information to lasting transformation. With a strong foundation in adult learning principles, she creates environments where participants don’t just receive content—they engage deeply, reflect honestly, and apply what they’ve learned in meaningful, life-changing ways. Known for her ability to ask powerful questions and cultivate safe, authentic spaces, Shay empowers individuals—especially women—to break free from long-held patterns and step into lives marked by clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Shay currently serves as the Work Life Program Director at the Chalmers Center, where she leads a team of coaches equipping ministry leaders to implement the Work Life job readiness curriculum. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit work focused on job readiness and community development, she has equipped leaders both nationally and internationally, strengthening their ability to serve individuals in economically challenged communities. Through her work in facilitation and curriculum advocacy, Shay integrates learning-centered practices that prioritize participation, real-life application, and peer-to-peer connection—driving deep engagement and measurable impact.
At the core of Shay’s work is a simple but powerful belief: transformation happens when people feel seen, heard, and invited into the process. She is passionate about guiding that journey every step of the way.
