Dr. Michelle Derr is the founder of The Adjacent Possible, led the development of LI2, and has used the model with great success in partnership with researchers and practitioners across the United States. Michelle is nationally known and recognized for her ability to cultivate partnerships between research and practice that advance evidence and improve lives.
During her 22-year career at Mathematica, one of the top policy research firms in the United States, Michelle specialized in improving programs and public policies to advance the economic circumstances and career mobility of people with low incomes. Michelle earned a national reputation for her work and achieved the rank of Senior Fellow at Mathematica. Michelle is frequently asked to share her expertise at national conferences and in technical workgroups across the country.
