INTRODUCTORY COURSES ON OUR LEARNING-CENTERED APPROACH

FOUNDATIONS OF DIALOGUE EDUCATION

In this hands-on, four-day course, you will explore core principles and practices of how adults learn. Then, you will build or strengthen an actual learning design such as a large training, virtual course, or short workshop. You will become skilled in the use of “Dialogue Education,” a practical system that ensures meaningful and lasting results for learners. This course also offers an opportunity to get tips and feedback for effective facilitation.

In this two-day course, you will practice how to approach three critical phases of any type of meeting: preparation, facilitation and follow up. You will explore a variety of practical tools and apply them to a real meeting coming up in your work. Even as a meeting participant you will find your voice and practical strategies to make meetings more effective.

This two-day course is for anyone who wants to develop purposeful learning designs that maximize impact. In this course you will map out an effective process to teach others about any topic and get feedback on your design. The product is one that you could facilitate yourself or give to others to facilitate.

THE ART OF FACILITATION

This two-day course is great for less experienced facilitators as well as for those who want to refine their facilitation skills. Throughout the course you will practice how to facilitate creative, responsive, engaging, and meaningful learning events. This course recognizes that the effectiveness of even the strongest learning design depends on a skilled facilitator!

In this three-day course you will deepen your skills and intuition for effective learning assessment, design, facilitation, and evaluation. You will get in-depth feedback from other advanced practitioners as you create your own virtual or in-person learning event.

This is a two-day course for teachers, trainers, and facilitators to learn how to intentionally design with the end in mind. You will develop tools to evaluate learning, transfer and impact of a learning program of your own – and leave with a practical framework for thinking through learning evaluation in the future.

FROM DATA TO INFORMED ACTION (NEW!)

This virtual course is for people and internal staff groups who collect and use data to support organizational decision-making around external programming and internal processes. You will consider how to transition from collecting data to connecting around the data in ways that support learning and informed action.

This six-week virtual course teaches you how to design a learning-centered conference that participants will be excited to attend. You will create experiences where participants feel engaged and respected; they will walk away with new skills and an eye to the positive impact your event will make on their work when they get home.

If you are a nonprofit, work in the education or faith-based field, or otherwise need financial support, we usually can provide some discount. We also recognize the value in partner learning (2+ people from an organization attending the same course) and are often able to offer a discounted rate in these situations. Please note that discounts may not be combined with any other promotions.
