So Began a Delightful Email Exchange (1996)

I bought “Learning to Listen, Learning to Teach” [by Dr. Jane Vella] in Melbourne, Australia, and read it regularly over the years. Eventually I emailed Jane to tell her how much I enjoyed the stories of her adventurous life. Her reply was immediate, “Read the attached booklet and then send me your questions!” So began a delightful email exchange.  

I flew to Vermont in 2018 to attend the Dialogue Education Foundations course and then spent a few days with Jane. We rocked on the back porch, laughed a lot, and Jane helped me digest the rich learnings of the course.
